THIS ISN’T LOVE. A PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION BY CRISTINA REZZI

WarmtHub presents the This Isn’t Love photographic exhibit, consisting of 30 color shots from photographer Cristina Rezzi, who is also the event’s curator. This Isn’t Love pays homage to the female universe and aims to raise public awareness of domestic violence.

Through the language of photography, Cristina Rezzi describes some of the dynamics that distinguish the “love not love” relationship, which the woman often lacks the courage to oppose. From emotional addiction, to overpowering behavior disguised as love, the end result is psychological violence and physical abuse.

Never let anyone have control over your person, your body, your mind, or your dignity.

Cristina Rezzi explains, “The desire to realize this project was instinctive, born from the gut and the heart. I wanted to do this by relying not on classic models but on the help of two actors, Roberta Pompili and Andrea Di Cillo, who allowed me to best express, through images, the concept of violence within the couple relationship.” The photographer concludes, “The professional and moral support of Vincenzo Scudieri was also important for the success of the shots."

The exhibition will be held on February 29, 2020 in the Sala Prezzolini of the WarmtHotel in Rome. In addition to the two protagonists featured in the photos, the event will also be attended by several notable guests including Dr. Sara Eba Di Vaio, psychologist, psychotherapist and clinical sexologist, expert on couples' problems. The musician greyVision will curate the event’s soundtrack.
